A particular video has been trending on the internet lately, which includes a cryptocurrency mogul eating the viral banana artwork, which he bought for a fortune, ₹52 crore. The crypto mogul, Justin Sun peeled off the duct tape and enjoyed the banana at a press conference, held in Hong Kong.

The banana artwork, including a banana stuck by a duct tape was created in an edition of three. The artwork, featuring a banana duct-taped to a wall was first showcased at Art Basel Miami Beach in 2019 by Perrotin Gallery. Justin Sun, a Chinese-born cryptocurrency entrepreneur made waves when he ate the banana from the artwork which he bought for a massive ₹52 crore.

Eating the banana from the artwork, Justin Sun said, “It’s much better than other bananas. It’s really quite good,” in a viral video that has now been widely shared across social media platforms. The conceptual artwork, titled, “Comedian,” by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan was purchased by Sun at four times its estimated value and the payment was made in crypto.

Taking to X, the Chinese crypto mogul shared a video and wrote, “Many friends asked me how this banana tasted. To be honest, for a banana with such a story, the taste is naturally different from ordinary bananas. I tasted the flavor of a Gros Michel banana from 100 years ago.”
The video has garnered over 5,08,000 views and incited various reactions from netizens. A user wrote, “Ah. I silently picked up my 3 yuan banana and tasted it. It was very sweet.” Another commented, “It would be more fun if I cut it up and gave it to a hundred people.”
