Gemini has also introduced interactive study tools and even rolled out added data protection for Google Workspace for Education.
Faster responses in Gemini.
Google said its advanced AI chatbot, Gemini, will now have up to 50% faster responses on the 1.5 Flash model. This is achieved by major latency improvements made over the past few weeks. Google said, “Fast responses enable a more seamless and responsive Gemini experience, helping you get more done across a variety of tasks.”
Data protection added.
Google Workspace for Education users now get added data protection when using Gemini. With his added data protection, users’ data isn’t human-reviewed or used to train AI models. The company said, “Education leaders, staff, and students 18 years and older can now chat with Gemini – free of charge – knowing their data is not being used to train AI models.”
Gemini’s interactive study tools.
Google said that Gemini makes learning and exploring engaging and informative and has three new capabilities. The interactive study tools include practice questions and integration with OpenStax educational resources to facilitate engaging and informative learning. Google said, “Learn with more confidence by prompting @OpenStax to pull in trustworthy responses based on Rice University’s OpenStax educational resources, complete with citations and links to relevant textbook content. Additionally, test your knowledge on diverse topics with interactive practice questions featuring feedback and hints along the way.”
As of now, these features aren’t available to users under 18 who are outside the US or in any other language except English.
