About the tragic accident.
On Friday, the tragic accident occurred when the speeding sedan driven by Rakshit Chaurasiya rammed into multiple 2-wheelers in Vadodara. The accident claimed the life of a woman on the spot and injured four others. Rakshit appeared to be drunk in a video clip at the accident site. He was seen stepping out of the car and shouting, “Another round, another round!” Locals caught Rakshit, who is a native of Varanasi and handed him to the police. He and Pranshu were arrested following the incident.
Rakshit denies the allegations.
Rakshit denied being drunk and claimed the accident occurred due to a pothole, causing his car to lose control after its airbags were deployed. He told ANI, “We were ahead of the scooty, turning right, and there was a pothole. The car slightly touched the two-wheeler, and the airbag opened suddenly, blocking my vision. The car then went out of control.” He asserted that he drove at only 50 kmph and had not consumed alcohol, stating he had attended a Holika Dahan celebration prior to the crash.
Rakshit admitted his fault and expressed willingness to meet the victims’ families.
