Varun Dhawan to star in Sunny Deol’s “Border 2”

His fans laud his entry into the anticipated sequel, while others don’t seem happy with his entry into the film.

It is reported that actor Varun Dhawan, who recently bowled over audiences with his cameo in Stree 2 as Bhaskar, aka Bhediya, has now been roped in to play a critical role in Border 2. The original film, Border, was released in 1997 and starred several top actors, including Sunny Deol. It was directed by J.P Dutta. Recently, an announcement of Border 2 was also made, and fans haven’t been able to control their excitement since then.

Varun Dhawan has been roped in to play an essential role in Sunny Del-headlined Border 2. Announcing the same, the makers shared a special teaser where people can hear Varun say the lines, “Dushman ki har goli se Jai Hind bol kar takrata hun. Jab dharti maa bulati hai, sab chhod kar aata hun. Hindustan ka fauji hun main” Varun sounds impressive, and all his fans have gushed about the same and are ecstatic to see him in a new role in Border 2.

Expressing their excitement, fans hailed Varun for choosing to be a part of Border 2. One user tweeted, “#VarunDhawan will be in the Roll to Enter the Next League of his Stardom with #BabyJohn He will Enter Big League and with #Border2 He will attain Stardom equal to #Ranbirkapoor and #RanveerSingh.” Another user said, “Varun Dhawan will be the next Superstar from Bollywood.”

However, a section of the internet does not agree with this and is disappointed about Varun’s casting in the film. One such user said, “Overacting ki dukan ko kyu liya 😭 koi comedy thodi hai.” Another said, “Cast @SidMalhotra in Border-2. Border – 2 needs Super stars like Akshay, Salman, Shahrukh etc to match old Border-1 which had so many Super Stars. Varun Dhawan isn’t a Superstar Material. Good for supporting role.”
