Her appeal comes after she was disqualified from playing in the finals of the women’s 50kg category for being overweight by 100 grams.

It has been learned that Vinesh has asked the CAS that she be given the silver medal. CAS has asked till today, August 8, to give its final verdict. If CAS rules in favor of Vinesh, IOC will have to award a joint silver to Vinesh.
