Two officials escort Virat Kohli amidst rains during the India vs New Zealand 1st Test.

Rains lashed out Bengaluru, and thus Virat Kohli was escorted by two groundstaff and KSCA officials to the indoor nets on Tuesday morning. King Kohli wore a hoodie to protect himself from the relentless rains. However, he still looked relaxed, and his look went viral on the internet.

At the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, it was all damp, wet, and gloomy on Tuesday, and the weather forecast was as predicted, which wasn’t going to be good until October 17. The Indian team, particularly Virat Kohli, was prepared for the same. As the rains didn’t stop, the Indian cricketers decided to use the indoor facilities to get warmed up. Virat Kohli wore a hoodie to protect himself and had a relaxed demeanor. Two ground staff and KSCA officials escorted him to the indoor nets. The former Indian captain looked focused, carefully making his way through the rain. His look went viral on the internet.

Other Indian cricketers also were escorted.

Soon after Kohli made his way to the indoor facilities, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and assistant coach Abhishek Nayar were also escorted to the indoor practice area. Kohli, Jaiswal, and a few other Indian batters took throwdowns from India’s support staff for a few hours. Fans at the Bengaluru stadium were in awe of King Kohli and their local hero leading the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team in the IPL. Even on a rainy morning, Virat Kohli was greeted with loud cheers.

Rains washed out the IND vs NZ opening test.

Rain of varying intensity washed out Wednesday’s first opening Test session between India and New Zealand. The toss, which was scheduled at 9 am, couldn’t take place as it rained relentlessly over the city in the morning.
