A recent report has excited fans that Meta may involve voices of actors like Judi Dench and Awkwafina and other celebrities for its AI assistant called MetaAI. This is for the company’s efforts to build more products featuring AI. Meta is in talks with comedian Keegan-Michael Key and other celebrities, apart from Dench and Awkwafina, as reported by a few who spoke on the condition of anonymity as the discussions are private, apart from spilling the tea that Hollywood’s top talent agencies were involved in negotiations with the tech giant. They also said that the contracts may include the actors’ fees in a deal of millions of dollars.

Although a Meta spokesperson declined to comment on the rumors, Bloomberg reported a few details about the discussions earlier. Meta, owning platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook, has invested heavily in artificial intelligence. The tech giant has invested billions in incorporating AI into its platforms. On Wednesday, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, announced an increase in how much his company would spend on AI and other expenses this year to at least $37 billion, up from $30 billion at the beginning of the year. He also said that he would instead build too fast “than too late” to prevent his competitors from gaining an edge in the AI race.
