Former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram recently spoke about India’s wicket-keeper and batter, Rishabh Pant, and how he admires him and his sportsman spirit for making a grand comeback after his horrifying accident.
Wasim Akram calls Rishabh Pant “Miracle Bachcha.”
The former Pakistani cricketer spoke about how Pant’s comeback to cricket after his accident is a tale of inspiration for future generations. He referred to Pant as a Miracle Child, acknowledging his exceptional performance on a comeback in the Indian Premier League and the T20 World Cup.
He lauded Pant’s batting prowess.
He praised Pant’s batting prowess in an interview with Sportskeeda and emphasized that everyone felt concerned about him, even in Pakistan, after his accident.
Akram said this about Rishabh Pant.
He said, “Pant ki performance dekh rahe hai. Miracle jo iss ladke ne kia hai, dikhaya hai ki he is a superhuman. Jis tragedy se woh wapas aaya hai. Jis tarah se uska accident, maine clips dekhe the, we were all worried in Pakistan (the kind of performance he has given, he has proved he is a miracle child. We saw the accident clips and were all worried in Pakistan). I was worried, actually, maine tweet bhi kiya tha unke baare me. He came back and averaged 40 this year in IPL – 446 runs, with a strike rate of 155. Woh toh miracle bachcha hai.”
He also praised Pant’s test achievements.
He pointed out how Pant played outstandingly, scoring significant innings against Australia and England. Speaking on the same, he mentioned how special he is in test cricket, scoring 100 against Australia, batting against England, and doing reverse sweeps in test cricket to James Anderson and Pat Cummins.
He went on to praise Rishabh Pant’s courage in recovering from that horrific accident. He concluded, “That’s a story to be told for generations, in my opinion, to motivate young people of the world.”
