A video recently shared widely on the internet shows how the main dome at the Taj Mahal sees water leakage after incessant rainfall in Agra. This was also confirmed by a senior official from the ASI, Agra circle, who said there is leakage due to seepage but assured there is no damage.

One of the seven wonders, the Taj Mahal, in Agra, witnessed water leakage after the city experienced incessant rains in the past three days. As reported by PTI, the rains have also inundated a garden on the Taj Mahal premises. A video of the submerged garden went viral on Thursday and caught everyone’s attention.
What did a senior official from the ASI Agra circle say?
Rajkumar Patel, superintending chief of the ASI, Agra circle, told news agency PTI, “Yes, we observed leakage in the main dome of the Taj Mahal. Upon inspection, it was found to be caused by seepage, and no damage has occurred. We verified the condition of the dome using a drone camera.” A 20-second video has gone viral showing one of the monument’s gardens submerged in rainwater.
Agra has been experiencing heavy rainfall for the past few days, leading to waterlogging across the city. One of the national highways was also flooded, crops were submerged, and even upscale neighborhoods faced waterlogging and water choking.
