The big game at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium was super exciting! It was the IPL 2024 final between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). KKR totally crushed SRH, winning by eight wickets and taking home their third trophy. Shah Rukh Khan and his family were so happy and emotional as they celebrated the big win. KKR fans were going wild with excitement, and even delivery apps got in on the fun!

The Celebrations Begin

Popular apps like Zepto, Blinkit, Swiggy, and Zomato joined the celebration. Blinkit even posted a picture of a yummy package of rasgullas, a tasty Bengali treat, to congratulate the KKR team on their awesome victory. It was a sweet way to end the game!

Another delivery company, Zepto, jokingly remarked that the trophy had been “delivered” to the rightful team.

They wrote, “Squad: riders in purple. order: cup. status: delivered.”

Swiggy Took The Upper Hand

Using a reference to Kolkata’s well-known biryani with aloo, Swiggy posted an amusing note mocking Hyderabad supporters that read, “not for the faint-hearted.”

In case you’re not aware, there’s a long-standing and lighthearted rivalry between Hyderabadi and Kolkatan enthusiasts of biryani, whereby they dispute the inclusion of potatoes in the dish.

Zomato also got in on the fun, posting a clever joke in which it was suggested that supporters of Kolkata gorge Australian cricket player Mitchell Starc (who plays for KKR) with sweets, insinuating that this may have an impact on his World Cup fitness.

“Kolkata, pls feed sooooo many sweets to Starc, he fails the fitness test for world cup,” they wrote.

SRK Making The Win Even Bigger

The triumph of KKR was enhanced by the presence of Shah Rukh Khan and his interactions with the spectators and his family.

Everyone will always remember the way he opened his arms wide, gave Gauri Khan a big hug, and walked proudly with Suhana and AbRam. It was a special moment that no one will forget.

During the game, KKR’s bowlers did an amazing job, only allowing SRH to score 113 runs in 18.3 overs. This was the lowest score ever in an IPL final! Mitchell Starc and Andre Russell were the standout players. Thanks to Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s help with batting and Venkatesh Iyer’s impressive 52 runs, KKR was able to chase down the score in just 10.3 overs. It was an exciting game that fans will always remember.
