Manu Bhaker, the first Indian woman shooter to win an Olympic medal, was asked about VaibhavSooryavanshi.

The first Indian woman shooter to win an Olympic medal, Manu Bhaker, was recently asked about VaibhavSooryavanshi, the 15-year-old Indian cricket prodigy making a name for himself worldwide. However, this has sparked outrage among netizens.

Manu Bhaker was asked about VaibhavSooryavanshi.

On Monday, Manu Bhaker was asked about VaibhavSooryavanshi. Speaking on the sidelines of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) 75th anniversary celebrations in Delhi, Manu spoke about Sooryavanshi. “I would say that if the mentorship is good, the company around him is good, and the people around him are good, then age is just a number. And there is no age for talent. Great things happen at 60; they happen at six. So if the people around him mentor him well and guide him properly, then I am sure he will be the next big star,” the 24-year-old shooter was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Netizens strongly react to the question asked of Manu Bhaker.

Former KKR team director, Joy Bhattacharya, wrote on X, “Folks, she is an Olympic medallist. To ask her what she thinks of VaibhavSooryavanshi is unfair to her achievements and her sport. Cricket, anyway, is the ruling passion of the country; your sports editors do not need another celebrity quote to spin a headline on Sooryavanshi. Optionally, next time ask VaibhavSooryavanshi about Manu Bhaker and see the looks you get.” Other social media users strongly commented on the same. One user reacted, “Wait, What!????????? 🤦‍♂️ Olympics Medalist shooter Manu Bhaker was asked about Cricketer VaibhavSuryavanshi. What kind of journalism is this? Was ever any cricketer asked about budding shooters??” Another expressed, “Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker was asked about VaibhavSooryavanshi. It felt a bit irrelevant to ask, especially since such questions are rarely posed the other way around.” A third person wrote, “Funny how relevance is measured, ask Manu Bhaker about VaibhavSooryavanshi, but not the other way around.”
