The Xiaomi 18 Fold, revealed in a striking red variant, is the first handset to feature the company’s new Xring O3 processor. Equipped with a triple rear camera system, the device is scheduled to launch in China on September 7, alongside the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max. This marks a significant milestone for Xiaomi, as it continues to push boundaries in foldable smartphone innovation.

Xiaomi’s exhibition spanned a massive 3,300-square-metre space, divided into three thematic zones:

The company also emphasized its Mijia smart home ecosystem, announcing plans for large-scale expansion across Europe. Alongside this, Xiaomi demonstrated its humanoid robot CyberOne and unveiled new AI platforms such as MiMo-V2.5-Pro, Xiaomi Miloco, Xiaomi Miclaw, and the HyperOS operating system.

Automotive innovation was another highlight. Xiaomi showcased the SU7 and SU7 Ultra, confirming that it has already delivered over 700,000 vehicles in China since 2024. The company revealed plans to bring Xiaomi Auto to Europe, beginning with Germany in 2027.

Looking ahead, Xiaomi announced that its global research and development investment will surpass €24 billion between 2026 and 2030, covering areas such as AI, operating systems, chips, robotics, and smart vehicles.

With the unveiling of the Xiaomi 18 Fold and its expansive product portfolio, Xiaomi has signaled its ambition to be more than just a smartphone manufacturer.
