The massive collision of a car with five occupants and a motorcycle resulted in the death of a woman named Iqra Sheikh and her 6-year-old daughter Nadia Sheikh, both of whom were pronounced dead on the spot. The accident happened in Maharashtra’s Latur-Ausa highway. The police have arrested all five occupants of the car, which a drunk driver drove.

The tragic accident that happened on the Latur-Ausa highway involved a drunk driver who rammed into a family on a bike, leading to the deaths of a mother and her 6-year-old daughter. The incident occurred a few days ago, triggered by a brief altercation between the two drivers over reckless behavior on the road. Sadiq Sheikh was driving his bike, accompanied by his wife Iqra and children Nadia (6) and Ahad, when a speeding car driven by an intoxicated man dangerously cut them off, said police. When the intoxicated driver first had a near-accident, Sadiq approached him and asked him to be more cautious. However, this led to a heated argument, where the drunk driver, shortly after, deliberately crashed his car into the bike from behind, as per reports on India Today.

The collision on Maharashtra’s highway resulted in severe injuries to Iqra Sheikh and her 6-year-old daughter Nadia, who succumbed to their injuries. Sadiq and his son Ahad sustained severe injuries and were rushed to Latur’s government hospital. Ausa police station’s police inspector, Sunil Rajitwad, said that five individuals, including Digambar Patole, Krishna Waghe, Basavaraj Dhotre, Manoj Mane, and Mudame, were in the car during the incident. All five have been arrested with various charges, including reckless driving, causing death by negligence, and driving under the influence.
