A nursery school female attendant assaults a 4-year-old girl.
The gruesome incident involved a 4-year-old girl studying in a nursery class. The child was allegedly assaulted by a female attendant at a school in Telangana’s Hyderabad, as per police officials who confirmed the incident on Sunday. The case came to light after the child’s parents reportedly approached the authorities, stating their daughter had been physically harmed while in school care. The parents’ complaint prompted the police to register a case against the staff member, according to a report by the news agency PTI.
A disturbing video of the assault surfaces on the internet.
Officers said that the woman has now been detained for questioning. However, the disturbing video of the assault has been surfacing on the internet. It shows how the attendant strikes the child and forcefully pushes her to the floor. She is seen banging the child’s head to the floor multiple times and also trampling on her. The video clip has triggered widespread concern among residents, parents and internet users alike. The girl’s parents, in their formal statement, alleged that the assault was deliberate and not an accidental act of mishandling. They demanded immediate action against the attendant and called for stricter supervision within the school to ensure the safety of young children, the PTI report noted.
Investigators believe the ongoing friction between the two women might have played a role in the incident. Lakshmi, the accused, was reportedly uneasy about the 4-year-old child’s mother and a younger staff member at the same school and may have been worried that her position at the school was at risk. As per a report by NDTV, this underlying tension is now being examined as a possible factor behind the alleged assault.
