A 19-year-old pregnant girl was killed by a Delhi man after she asked him to get married to her

The police have arrested the accused, Sanju and Pankaj; they have confessed to killing the young pregnant girl.

In a brutal incident, a Delhi man killed a 19-year-old girl who was pregnant because she asked him to marry her. The victim’s body was recovered from a pit in an abandoned area in Madina, Haryana, said officials on Friday. Two men are so far arrested for allegedly killing the 19-year-old pregnant woman.

As per the preliminary probe, the police have arrested three people – Sanju, Pankaj, and Ritik. While Sanju and Pankaj have been arrested and confessed to the crime, a search is underway to find Ritik. Allegedly, the victim, 19, was in a relationship with Sanju and was pressuring him to marry her as she was pregnant. The horrific incident came to light when the Delhi police received a complaint from the victim’s brother on October 22, stating that his sister was missing. He suspected a man his sister had recently befriended could be involved in the case.

What happened to the pregnant teen?

After receiving the complaint from the victim’s brother, multiple police teams were formed to investigate the murder. The victim’s phone was switched off. The police then arrested Sanju and Pankaj and are now on the lookout for Ritik. The accused men killed the pregnant teen and buried her body. During interrogation, the arrested accused confessed to the crime, saying they rented a car on October 21 and took the victim along with some of her belongings. Investigating officers suspected that the victim wanted to marry Sanju, but he kept asking for more time. On Karwa Chauth, the woman fasted for Sanju, but they reportedly fought and decided to meet. Sanju then asked his friends Pankaj and Ritik to arrange for a car to go on a long drive. All of them boarded the car and drove toward Haryana’s Rohtak and later killed the victim and buried her body under a 4 ft. deep pit in an abandoned area in Rohtak district’s Madina area.

The 19-year-old pregnant woman’s body was found and recovered from the pit, and now the police are looking out for the third accused, Ritik.
