A Lucknow delivery agent was strangled to death by two men who ordered two phones worth a total of around ₹90,000.

The accused lured the delivery agent in Lucknow into their house and then strangled him to death with a laptop charger, as told by DCP East Shashank Singh. The police have arrested one of the two accused. They revealed disturbing details of the murder of the delivery agent in the city over mobile phones.

The Lucknow police revealed that a delivery agent was murdered in the city by two men who used a laptop charger to strangle the agent to death. As per the police, two men ordered two phones with the Cash on Delivery payment option, and when the agent came to deliver the phones to the address provided, they killed him to avoid paying for the products. DCP East Shashank Singh said that the two accused lured the delivery agent into their house, strangled him with a laptop charger, stuffed his body into Flipkart’s bag, and threw it in a canal.

The DCP said that two men, identified as Akash Sharma and his friend Gajanan Sharma, ordered one Vivo V40 Pro and a Google Pixel 7 Pro from Flipkart using the Cash on Delivery payment option. They ordered the phones, which cost together around ₹90,000, from their friend Himanshu’s phone. Earlier, it was reported that the two men killed him for an Apple iPhone.

What did the police say?

The officer said, “We brought in Akash Sharma, and when he was seriously questioned, he said that he and his friend Gajanan Sharma had ordered phones from their other friend Himanshu’s phone. They ordered two phones, one Vivo V40 Pro and one Google Pixel 7 Pro. The total cost of the two phones was around ₹90,000, which were ordered on Cash on Delivery.” He added, “They lured the delivery agent into their house and strangled him with a laptop charger. They stuffed his body in the Flipkart bag and dumped it into a canal. Akash Sharma has been arrested and confessed to the crime.”

Gaining suspicion over the movement of the delivery agent as per his last location tracked, the police called for details from the company and started investigating. The police recovered the two phones, and efforts are on to search for the dead body and the other accused.
