According to reports, Babar Azam is to be sacked as Pakistan’s white-ball captain, and a new captain will be appointed soon before their upcoming tour to Australia. The Pakistan Cricket Board reportedly snubbed Babar Azam and didn’t appoint him as one of the captains for the upcoming Champions One Day Cup. His leadership has been put under the scanner, and he is expected to be removed as Pakistan’s white-ball captain.

As per reports, Gary Kirsten, Pakistan’s white-ball head coach, had discussions with PCB officials in July. It is said that Mohammad Rizwan may replace Babar Azam as the new captain and captain of all three formats in the future.
