Oscar-winning music composer A R Rahman was recently hospitalised in Chennai. There were reports about him having chest pain. However, it is now told that he was hospitalised as he felt a bit weak and underwent a few tests, including an ECG and may need an angiogram.
A R Rahman’s son’s statement on his health.
A R Ameen, son of A R Rahman, shared an update about his health, while the hospital in Chennai, in a press release, stated that Rahman had been discharged. His son wrote in an Instagram post, “To all our dear fans, family, and well-wishers, I sincerely thank you for your love, prayers, and support. My father felt a bit weak due to dehydration; hence, we went ahead and did some routine tests, but I’m happy to share that he is doing well now. Your kind words and blessings mean a lot to us. We truly appreciate your concern and continued support. Much love and gratitude to you all!”
A R Rahman’s team refutes fake reports.
An earlier ANI report read all tests taken by doctors showed Rahman to be normal. The team of the music maestro also refuted “fake” reports, claiming he had been admitted to hospital following chest pain. His team said, “It’s fake news (on heart issues) spreading now. Rahman went to hospital because he got dehydrated and has neck pain due to travel.”
Recently, A R Rahman’s ex-wide Saira Banu was also hospitalised due to a medical emergency and had to undergo surgery. The news was shared by her lawyer, Vandana Shah through an official statement, “On behalf of our client, Mrs. Saira Rahman, Vandana Shah and Associates issue the following statement regarding her current health condition. A few days ago, Mrs. Saira Rahman was hospitalised due to a medical emergency and underwent surgery. During this challenging time, her sole focus is on a speedy recovery.”
