Reports earlier suggested that the film was getting shelved; however, the director says its following shoot schedule is in October.

Several reports suggested that Akshay Kumar’s Welcome to the Jungle film had been shelved. However, director Ahmed Khan has confirmed that it is on track and hasn’t been shelved.

Amid reports of the film getting shelved, director Ahmed Khan has confirmed that Welcome to the Jungle will have its next shoot schedule in October. It will be heading for a marathon shoot schedule in the coming months. To clear the confusion, the makers even posted a picture of the ensemble cast from the sets on social media. The film, which is the third instalment of the Welcome franchise, finished its Mumbai and Kashmir schedules in August and will now commence its international marathon schedule in October.

Ahmed Khan confirms the film is on track.

Director Ahmed Khan issued a statement confirming the progress of the film’s shoot, “There is no truth to these rumors. The film is on track, and we are kickstarting our next leg of the marathon schedule internationally from October, for which my technical team has already left for the first recce.” According to reports, 70 percent of the film’s shoot has been completed.

Welcome to the Jungle is the third part of the Welcome franchise and will feature Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Aftab Shivdasani, Jacqueliene Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, and 34 other actors.
