A BJP leader has criticized the actor-politician’s remarks on farm laws. The leader said her statements shouldn’t create any doubt about PM Modi’s bond with the Punjabi people.
Kangana Ranaut has come under the radar of her party for remarking on farm laws. A BJP leader has criticized Kangana for her “baseless” statements on farm laws and said that her statements shouldn’t create any doubts about PM Modi’s bond with the people of Punjab. This is the second time in two months that Kangana’s rash remarks on the 2020-21 farmer agitation have forced the party to reprimand her and also made her retract her comments.
BJP national spokesperson condemns Kangana Ranaut’s statements.
BJP national spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill has condemned his party MP Kangana Ranaut for her recent statement on three farm laws. He also thanked the BJP for distancing itself from her “consistent rant and illogical statements,” as stated by ANI in a report. Jaiveer Shergill said, “I am grateful to the BJP for distancing themselves from the comments of Kangana Ranaut,” adding that her statements should not create any doubt on PM Modi’s bond with Punjab’s people.
What did Jaiveer Shergill say about Kangana’s baseless statements?
Speaking to ANI, he said, “As a Punjabi, I must say that Kangana Ranaut’s consistent rant, useless, baseless and illogical statements against the Sikh community, the farmers of Punjab are damaging all the good work, the welfare-oriented, the Vikas-oriented work being done, that has been done by PM Modi for the welfare of Punjab, Punjabi, and Punjabiyat.” On Wednesday, the BJP distanced itself from the Mandi MP’s remarks and clarified that her remarks on the now-repealed controversial three farm laws are her personal opinion and do not reflect the party’s views.
Kangana Ranaut issues a clarification.
The massive criticism from within the BJP and the opposition forced the actress to issue a calrification on X, writing, “Absolutely, my views on Farmers Laws are personal, and they don’t represent party’s stand on those Bills. Thanks.”
