CBFC asks makers of Vicky Kaushal’s film Bad Newz to modify intimate scenes

Bad Newz, the upcoming film starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, will soon be released. However, it has already created quite a buzz with its funny trailer and banger-like songs like Tauba Tauba and Jaanam. The former song showcases Vicky Kaushal’s smooth moves, and the latter showcases Vicky and Triptii’s sizzling chemistry. However, the CBFC has now ordered the filmmakers to modify intimate scenes.

The CBFC examining committee recently ordered the trimming of intimate scenes in the film Bad Newz. Notably, the song “Jaanam” has intimate scenes of Vicky and Triptii that have bowled over audiences with their sizzling chemistry. Recently, when the CBFC reviewed the film, three intimate scenes were censored, as reported by Bollywood Hungama.

As per the cut list, the film has no audio cuts. However, the examining committee of the CBFC has censored three scenes showing two characters kissing. The three scenes are – a 9-second scene, a 10-second scene, and an eight-second scene. In total, the CBFC has made changes totaling 27 seconds. The edit list mentions that the “visual lip-lock be modified,” but no frames have been cut. The modified scenes will be revealed when the film is viewed.

CBFC gives Bad Newz a U/A certificate.

The CBFC requested minor changes, including replacing a disclaimer at the beginning, adding the anti-alcohol static, and making the font larger. After these changes, the film received a U/A certificate from CBFC. The film’s length, as indicated on the censor certificate, is 142 minutes, equivalent to 2 hours 22 minutes.
