Open AI recently announced ChatGPT’s image generation feature, even for free platform users.
ChatGPT is again in the news, and this time, it is exciting news for free users of ChatGPT. The ChatGPT image generation feature will also allow free users to generate AI images. However, according to OpenAI, free users will only be able to generate a maximum of two images a day on the platform.
Open AI announced a new feature for ChatGPT free users.
ChatGPT’s image generation feature is powered by DALL·E 3, the image generator of OpenAI. It was announced in October 2023 but was only available for paid users. However, it has now been made available for free users, allowing only two AI images daily.
The image generation feature is made available for all on ChatGPT.
Image generation was already available to users on ChatGPT’s competitors like Google Gemini and Microsoft CoPilot, and it has now been launched for ChatGPT. In October 2023, it was rolled out for paid users (Plus and Enterprise users), but now, even free users can use the image generation feature only twice a day.

On X, OpenAI posted for free users of ChatGPT, “We’re rolling out the ability for ChatGPT Free users to create up to two images per day with DALL·E 3. Just ask ChatGPT to create an image for a slide deck, personalize a card for a friend, or show you what something looks like.”
ChatGPT’s image generation feature works off of OpenAI’s text-to-image AI model DALL·E 3, which can offer intricate details, including text, hands, and faces, as per a description of DALL·E 3 on OpenAI’s website.
