Chunky Panday has loads of praise for Varun Dhawan.

Veteran actor Chunky Panday shares his experience working with Varun in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, where he realized Varun is very similar to Salman Khan and Govinda. The actors’ working and dancing skills remind Chunky of these two superstars. Though has built his own space and identity in Bollywood.

While sharing his experience, Chunky adds that Varun reminds him of a 90s superstar. One reason may be that his father’s films greatly influenced him, and he grew up watching them. The actor has a lot of dancing skills like Govinda. Yes, definitely, he never loses his identity or unique skills, which have really helped Varun set up his remarkable space in this huge industry.

Salman Khan and Govinda both worked with Varun’s father, director David Dhawan, in massive films through the 1990s and 2000s. Govinda starred in a record 13 films directed by David Dhawan, which include some of his blockbuster hits. Salman has also delivered many major hits, including Judwaa and Biwi No 1, under David’s direction. The three geniuses collaborated on the 2007 movie Partner. The audience showered love and made it one of the biggest hits, as it was a complete movie.

Chunky revealed that he enjoyed working with the younger generation while sharing his experience. He said, “He’s a very hands-on actor. He reminds me of a lot of old-school actors. He’s very good at creativity. In the old days, we always wanted everyone around us to perform well because it made the scene better. Varun is one of those actors who goes out of his way to enhance others’ performances as well. I really admire that quality.”

About Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai

Directed by David Dhawan, the romantic comedy stars Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. The film also features Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Shergill, Rakesh Bedi, Rajesh Kumar and Mouni Roy in key roles. The film is scheduled to release on June 4.  The film also marks David Dhawan’s final directorial venture before retirement.
