The most precious time for a newly married couple is their honeymoon, when they spend quality time together to better understand each other. To grow their timeless relationship of marriage, beautiful with love, care and understanding. But a couple from Meerut faced conflict while travelling to Nainital for their honeymoon.
The wife is from Meerut district in Uttar Pradesh, and the husband is from Delhi’s Patel Nagar, according to an India Today report. Both tied the knot with each other through a matrimonial website; it was an arranged marriage.
They got married last year, and as per the details shared by the family in the counselling centre. Afterward, they planned to travel to Nainital for their honeymoon, but the husband decided to bring his family along. It was quite weird for the wife to accept it. As it was an arranged marriage, the couple needed quality time to get to know each other very well and build their relationship.
But for her wife, it was uncomfortable, as it was their private time. She was surprised to see that her husband’s parents and siblings were accompanying them to Nainital for their honeymoon. This further escalated into a conflict in their relationship, leading to several arguments after their return from the trip to Nainital.
According to their counsellors, her husband did not understand her feelings, and for him, bringing his family on their honeymoon is not wrong. He wanted everyone to be happy. This way of thinking about the man leads to conflicts and arguments between them. Which was worse, son, so much that the matter reached the police station. Though Police officers attempted to mediate and persuade both sides to resolve their differences.
But it was not resolving the differences, so the case was referred to the Family Counselling Centre located in the police lines. Both parties were heard individually and given opportunities to present their side of the story.
Merely three rounds were held in counselling; things did not work out, and a couple remain firm about parting ways.
