One movie that cinema lovers and all the fans of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukoneeagerly waited for was Kalki 2898 AD. The film was released on June 27 and has been in the news for reasons more than one, mostly positive.

Sobhita Dhulipala and Kalki 2898 AD have a connection.

Actress Sobhita Dhulipala has also been associated with this post-apocalyptic film Kalki 2898 AD. More than any cameo, she dubbed for Deepika Padukone in the Telugu version of the film. She lent her voice to Deepika Padukone’s character, Sumathi. This was also confirmed when director Nag Ashwin gave her a shout-out in the opening credits of the film.

Sobhita Dhulipala also posted on social media.

The Made in Heaven actress also shared a picture of a cue card on social media expressing gratitude. In the caption, she wrote, “Sweetest,” and tagged the Kalki 2898 AD team. It is imperative to note here that Telugu is Sobhita’s mother tongue. She also tagged director Nag Ashwin, Vyjayanthi Movies, Priyanka C Dutt, and Swapna Dutt.

Deepika Padukone forays into the Telugu film industry.

Film Kalki 2898 AD marks Deepika Padukone’s foray into the Telugu film industry. She plays the role of Sum-80, aka Sumathi, who bears a miracle child. Taking a note from the pages of the epic Mahabharat, Sumathi is said to carry the 10th avatar of Lord Vishnu named Kalki, who will bring an end to the Kali Yug and start a new era.

The film also sees Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin, a self-proclaimed God of the complex situated in Kashi who is set to kill the miracle child, while Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwatthama is tasked to protect the unborn child.
