Avinash Tiwary, who was last seen in the blockbuster comedy film “Madgaon Express” played the role of Qais Bhat, aka Majnu, in his debut film Laila Majnu, with Triptii Dimri as Laila, which was released in 2018. However, the film got a re-release in theatres on August 9, and it has been gaining massive buzz and love from audiences, so much so that it will soon cross the lifetime collections of its original run. Avinash has now thanked fans for the overwhelming response to the film in its re-release and called it a “victory” that belongs to the audience.

Taking to X, Avinash reposted a report that predicted Laila Majnu would cross the original box office run of the film in just four days. In the caption, he wrote, “Thank you for all the love… I have always believed there is a huge segment of the audience that doesn’t raise its voice… but Jo nahi bolte, Woh jab Bolte hain toh Kya Kamaal Bolte hain (Those who don’t say, they say the most abundantly when it is time)! The report on Laila Majnu’s box office collection stated an opening day of Rs. 30 lakh with a massive 110% increase in earnings, making Rs. 70 lakh the next day. The two-day collection stood at Rs. 1 crore. Also, a surge in presales points out a further rise in the collections in the coming days.
