Rahil Sheikh was seen hurling abuses at a woman on Mumbai road.
The video shows Rahil in an intoxicated state and half-naked, sitting inside a car. He hurled abuses at a Marathi-speaking woman in Mumbai. He was later identified as the son of MNS leader Javed Sheikh and was also seen flaunting his father’s position. An FIR was lodged at Amboli police station for outraging the modesty of women and negligent driving. Rahil was then arrested.
The video was shared on social media.
Rajshree Mone, a woman, filmed the video and shared it on social media. However, MNS distanced itself from RahilSheikh. The party’s Avinash Jadhav said, “His actions are not supported by the MNS and the party demands police action against him.” Reposting the clip, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam slammed the MNS and called it the “real face” of those who claim to be the protectors of Marathi culture. Nirupam said, “Drunk out of his senses. Half-naked. An MNS leader’s son is hurling abuses at a Marathi-speaking woman. Additionally, he’s flaunting his father’s influence. See the real face of those who claim to protect Marathi pride. Are these the same MNS people attacking Hindus under the pressure of Muslims?”
Sanjay Nirupam also demanded stern action against Rahil. Slamming him, he told a leading news portal, “They are doing nothing but ‘gundagardi’ in the name of language. That is the ground reality of MNS.” Our government is not at all against Marathi; rather, we are promoting the language.”
