SmritiMandhana’s father faced sudden health issues hours before Smriti-Palash’s wedding; the groom also fell ill, and now has returned home in Mumbai.
India cricketer SmritiMandhana and music composer PalashMuchhal were supposed to get married on November 23. However, Smriti’s father’s sudden health issues led to the postponement of their marriage indefinitely. Palash also fell ill and was hospitalised, and now has been discharged and returned home in Mumbai.

A day after SmritiMandhana’s father was hospitalised due to sudden health issues, leading to Smriti-Palash’s wedding getting postponed, Palash was also admitted to a hospital in Sangli, where the wedding was supposed to happen. Sharing a health update, his mother AmitaMuchhal revealed that Palash has since returned to Mumbai and is resting as he recovers. She added that he is under a lot of stress, which took a toll on his health.

Speaking with a leading portal, AmitaMuchhal said, “Palashko uncle se bahutzyada attachment hai… Smriti se zyadayehdono close hain. Jab unkohogayatohSmriti se phelePalash ne decision liyakeuskoabhipherenahikarne jab tak uncle thiknahihojaate (Palash is extremely attached to Smriti’s father… The two of them are even closer than Smriti is with him. When he fell ill, it was Palash, before Smriti, who decided that they should not go ahead with the wedding rituals until he gets better).” She continued, “Since haldi was done, we didn’t let him go outside. Rote roteekdumtabiyatkarabhogai. 4 ghante hospital meinrakhnapadha. IV drip chadi, ECG huaaurdosre tests hoye. Sab normal aaye, but stress bahuthai (He cried so much that his health suddenly deteriorated. They kept him in the hospital for four hours. He was given an IV drip, an ECG was done, and other tests were carried out. Everything came back normal, but he is under a lot of stress). We have got Palash back to Mumbai now. He is feeling better and resting now… But stress is there… His sister Palak has also left Sangli and coming to be with him.”
