The Badminton Men’s Singles Round of 16 match at the Paris Olympics saw Lakshya Sen beating his roommate, HS Prannoy. He then continued his winning streak by defeating Chou-Tien Chen to reach the semi-finals. He has infused high hopes among Indians to win another medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. Sen secured a 12-21, 6-21 win against his Olympic village roommate, HS Prannoy, in the pre-quarter final match. He secured 19-21, 21-15, 21-12 against Taiwan’s and World No. 12 Chou-Tien Chen.

Lakshya Sen was born on August 16, in Almora, Uttarakhand, and is today considered one of India’s top badminton players. In 2021, he won a bronze at the World Championships. He secured gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and silver at the 2022 Asian Games. His massive contribution to India’s historic victory at the 2022 Thomas Cup further highlighted his prowess and talent in badminton. He has achieved the status of World No. 6, including his wins at the 2022 India Open and the 2023 Canada Open.
