Prime Minister Modi traveled in Ahmedabad Metro and interacted with passengers after launching phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen traveling in the Ahmedabad Metro earlier in the day and interacting with co-passengers. On Monday, he inaugurated Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project. PM Modi was accompanied by Acharya Devvrat, the governor of Gujarat, and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on the newly launched route from Section 1 metro station to GIFT City metro station.

PM Modi interacted with passengers while traveling in the Ahmedabad Metro, inaugurating Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project, which the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation developed with the state and central government. Apart from this, PM Modi is set to launch several critical programs across Ahmedabad, including the much-anticipated launch of India’s first Vande Metro from Bhuj to Ahmedabad, now renamed the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail.
Namo Bharat Rapid Rail is to be made available from September 17.
It is reported that Namo Bharat Rapid Rail will be made available to the public from September 17. It is a 12-coach project connecting the heart of Ahmedabad to its bordering cities. According to the Railway Ministry, travel efficiency is expected to increase compared to suburban trains.

PM Modi will also cover many other projects, from energy to roadwork to housing, worth more than ₹8,000 crore. As reported by news agency ANI, he is expected to lay the foundation stone for development projects such as quadrupling the Samakhiali-Gandhidham and Gandhidham-Adipur railway lines and constructing flyover bridges over Bakrol, Hathijan, Ramol, and Panjarpol Junction.
PM Modi will also meet the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in the Vavol area of Gandhinagar, which is to provide free electricity to one crore households, opting for a rooftop solar electricity unit installation. He will also launch a 30 MW solar system and a 35 Megawatt BESS Solar PV Project at Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station, Kutch, and 220-kilovolt substations at Morbi and Rajkot, promoting solar energy.
