The Queen of Baroda is known for making style statements, and everything always around her feels calm, assured, and quietly elegant. She recently mesmerised everyone in her Elle Decor shoot atLukshmi Vilas Palace, also known as Laxmi Vilas Palace, the stunning royal home she has lived in for years. The palace, of course, is breathtaking on its own with carved arches, stained glass, old-world furniture, and corridors. This is where she posed for the shoot, and hence the styling had to be just right, in a place that has a thousand stories to tell.

Maharani RadhikarajeGaekwad wore a soft blush-pink saree, light, fluid, and almost glowing against the palace’s warm interiors. The fabric of the saree effortlessly fell, and the border carried a hint of gold, while the drape was simple yet stylish. She didn’t wear any heavy jewellery for the shoot, only simple yet elegant pearls, which added more royalty to her look. What also made her look stand out was how natural it felt on her. Radhikaraje has always had a deep connection with Indian textiles. She is known for supporting handloom traditions and working closely with weavers to keep rare crafts alive. Over the years, she has stunned everyone with beautiful heirloom pieces from the Gaekwad family collection, which includes Baroda shalus, rich Paithanis, and silks wovenwith real gold zari.

For the Elle Décor shoot, Maharani RadhikarajeGaekwad stood under carved ceilings, framed by antique furniture and stained glass windows.
