Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has opened to a decent total of ₹5 crore net in India on its opening day. This figure is higher than Jigra’s first-day collection at the box office, which is ₹4.25 crore. However, given that the former had a bigger release and higher screen count, it had a higher chance of earning more. Overall, the collection wasn’t healthy for Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which registered a 17% occupancy across India on day one, as per Sacnilk. The figure increased to 32% for night shows, showing more promise for the weekend.

Trade analysts say that though the clash between the two films is much talked about, they are different in genres and appeal to various target audiences, and hence, they can be sustained simultaneously.
