Pakistani YouTubers applaud visuals, scale and defend ₹4,000-Crore budget.

Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming magnum opus Ramayana has sparked excitement not just in India but also across the border in Pakistan. Recently, old reaction videos of Pakistani YouTubers resurfaced online, showcasing their admiration for the film’s trailer. The creators were visibly impressed by the grandeur, visual detailing, and performances of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Raavan, and Sai Pallavi as Sita.

One of the most talked-about reactions came from the channel MZee Reactions, where the trio expressed awe at several moments, including Raavan’s powerful entry, Ram’s calm presence, and the climactic battle with Jatayu. They highlighted the depiction of Sone ki Lanka and praised the contrast between Raavan’s aggressive persona and Ram’s composed demeanor. Calling the trailer zabardast (amazing), they noted that the level of detailing left them speechless.

The YouTubers also defended the film’s reported ₹4,000-crore budget, questioning why critics were concerned about the expenditure. One creator pointed out that filmmaking is an industry backed by investors, not individuals’ personal money, and such ambitious projects deserve support.

Another Pakistani content creator, Maviya Umer Farooqui, shared his reaction on Instagram, expressing surprise at the project’s scale and technical sophistication. He praised the lavish VFX, noting that Hollywood professionals had been brought in to enhance the visuals. While acknowledging the film’s roots in Indian mythology and Hindu tradition, he emphasized that his excitement stemmed purely from its cinematic appeal. “As a Pakistani viewer, I am excited after watching the trailer,” he admitted.

Produced by Namit Malhotra and directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is planned as a trilogy. The first instalment is scheduled to release on November 6, 2026, just ahead of Diwali, while the second part is expected around Diwali 2027. The ensemble cast includes Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, and Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari.

The trailer has not only reignited debates about the film’s massive budget and VFX but also highlighted its ability to generate cross-border curiosity and appreciation. With its ambitious scale and star-studded cast, Ramayana is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about cinematic events in recent years.
