As per latest reports, he will be paired opposite former child actor and 19-year-old Sara Arjun in the film; however, netizens aren’t happy with this news.

The actor is all set to star in a big-budget film directed by Aditya Dhar, which will also feature Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. The stars announced the project a few months ago on social media. A new report claims that Ranveer will be paired with Sara Arjun. They share a 20-year age gap, and this has not gone down well with netizens.

There have been no official details given by the makers yet on the speculations of Sara Arjun starring opposite Ranveer Singh. However, a Peeping Moon report claims that 19-year-old Sara Arjun has been cast as Ranveer’s love interest in the film. The former child actress, who played the younger version of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s character ‘Nandini’ in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, has worked extensively in the South. As per the report, “Although her role is said to be relatively small in this male-dominated story, this film (by Aditya Dhar) marks her transition to a lead heroine after years of being known as a child actress in Hindi and Telugu cinema.”

Sara Arjun is 19, and Ranveer Singh is 39, and given the 20-year age gap, netizens aren’t happy with the casting. After the news clipping was shared on Reddit’s BollyBlindsNGossip subreddit, users criticized the makers for pairing the two actors, with one user writing, “She was 5 years old when Band Baaja Baarat released.” Another wrote, “Eww 39 year old romancing a teenager!?? How did they think this was ok.” One fan wrote, “Ranveer didn’t choose her as heroine .. so no need to demonize him.” Other user pointed out, “Don’t Deepika and Anushka both have 20+ age gap with SRK and they both debuted when they were around 19-20 age.” Another prompted, “Ya that was also disgusting and so is this.”
