Fans were in awe and in a state of frenzy as their captain Rohit Sharma made a hero entry at Mumbai airport after returning from Dubai and winning the Champions Trophy 2025. The airport witnessed epic scenes as Rohit arrived with his family after the big win.

The India skipper put in a Player of the Match performance in the final, hitting an incredible 76 runs off 83 balls against New Zealand. His half-century played a huge role in leading India in the run-chase as he hit seven fours and three sixes. Fans were in a state of frenzy when he arrived at Mumbai airport with his family. He was received with cheers and applause from fans. The crowd went so wild that after a point, the police officials surrounded him while fans rushed to congratulate him.

Defeating Australia in the semi-finals of Champions Trophy 2025, Rohit Sharma became the first and only skipper to lead a team in all ICC tournament finals. He has captained India to the finals of the 2023 WTC, 2023 ODI World Cup, 2024 T20 World Cup and recently, the 2025 Champions Trophy. And his captaincy tenure has led India to win the 2024 T20 World Cup and 2025 Champions Trophy.

After Sunday’s big win, Rohit Sharma had a special message for fans. He said, “I want to appreciate everyone who came out and supported us. The crowd here has been magnificent. It is not our home ground, but they made it our home ground. The number of people that came here to watch us play and to get that result in the end was very, very satisfying.”
