Samson scored 86 runs during RR’s vain attempt to chase the 222 run target on Tuesday. The offence Is not detailed but it might have been a dispute with the umpires about his removal in the 16th over following a catch by Shai Hope near the boundary.

During the match the third umpire Michael Gough reviewed the catch by Shai Hope and ruled Samson out. The question was whether Hope’s feet touched the boundary line while taking the catch.
The turning point came when Goughs choice swung the game towards Delhi after Samsons departure on 86 from 46 deliveries. Subsequently, Rajasthan’s batting order crumbled from a strong position of 162 for 3 to a disappointing 201 for 8 in just 20 overs, leading to a defeat of 20 runs against the Capitals.
The RR captain seemed not so pleased by the third umpire’s decision. After turning head towards the pavilion, he stopped in the middle and spoke to the on-field umpire.
