Goa beaches closed for swimming during monsoon.

Goa’s beaches are closed during the monsoon for swimming. The lifeguarding agency also urged people to avoid swimming due to rough sea conditions, including dangerous rip currents, high tides, and strong winds, making it riskier to venture into the sea. The west coast, stretching from Palghar in Maharashtra through Udupi in Karnataka, is also currently under a severe high tide alert, warning that waves could range from 4 to 4.3 meters high.

An advisory has also been issued for the public to avoid rocky areas, cliffs, and hills along the shoreline to avoid slippery surfaces, apart from seas raising the risk of beachgoers being swept away, as per Drishti, a lifeguarding agency.
