Conducted by the National Testing Agency, the UGC-NET June 2024 exam that took place on Tuesday got canceled as questions regarding the exam’s integrity were raised. The exam took place in OMR (pen and paper) mode and was held in two shifts across different cities of the nation. As per inputs from the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Center, there are possible compromises that have happened, which have now prompted the Ministry of Education to take action.
A new exam is to be scheduled.
A new examination will now be scheduled, and the matter has been referred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a thorough investigation.
Indications received by the University Grants Commission.
On Wednesday, the University Grants Commission received indications from cybersecurity authorities that the integrity of the exam might have been compromised. Hence, to maintain integrity and transparency, the Ministry of Education decided to cancel the UGC-NET June 2024 exam. The ministry stated, “Any individual/organization involved in this matter will face strictest action.”
A fresh examination will be organized, and the details will be communicated separately.
