Netizens react to the viral post.

The post garnered a wave of reactions and thousands of upvotes. One user asked, “What if some employees don’t want to attend the party and would be absent or at home and what about non alcoholic employees?” Another reacted, “In my previous company, my manager used to play Foosball with me and my colleagues and then would go for a meeting and come back to see us playing still and join us again.” A third user wrote, “Good companies will always sponsor travel, food and venue but never booze. It’s always BYOB for booze in good companies. And unprofessional ones do the opposite. Why? Because they’re treating the booze as a bribe.” One more commented, “This is becoming a norm nowadays. If it is an official event, the company should be paying, not force employees to spend on it. If you say you can’t attend due to personal reasons, they’d shamelessly ask you to contribute even if you aren’t going, as it is a team event.”
