The luxury brand has priced the graphic shirt at $1 lakh; desinetizens react to the same.
The fashion space has, over the years, offered varied designs, some of which have become trends, while others have drawn criticism for bizarre designs in the name of fashion. One post has now gone viral, showing a luxury fashion brand selling a graphic shirt with an ‘iron burn’ for $1 lakh.
A luxury fashion brand sells a graphic design shirt with an iron burn for $1 lakh.
A post has been trending on social media platforms and has even sparked a wave of comments and reactions from netizens. The post is by the luxury Swiss label Vetements, which has introduced a product called the White Ironing Burn Graphic Shirt. It comes in an oversized fit and features what appears to be a dark scorch mark near the chest pocket. The brand, however, is facing online criticism after listing the white shirt featuring a printed ‘iron burn’ mark at a premium price. The design closely resembles the burn mark left on clothing when an iron is pressed down for too long. However, in this case, the mark is printed as part of the shirt’s design. The shirt is priced at $1,139, which is approximately ₹1,03,000. The post was captioned, “VETEMENTS made a graphic shirt with an “iron burn” print that retails $1,139.”

Netizens react to the viral post.
The viral post had many users questioning how what appears to be a common household mistake has been turned into a high-fashion item costing over ₹1 lakh. One user questioned, “Why pay $1k when I can easily burn my white shirt?” Another joked, “I’ve been doing this for free for years. Turns out my laundry pile is actually a high-fashion archive.” A third user reacted, “My mom made this for free.” A fourth person wrote, “Once again, luxury clothing brands are a social experiment to see how much people are willing to pay for clothes.” One comment read, “The problem with this is that they lack creativity, and it looks just dirty. Great designers make great things. This is low-level. The price tag should be 0. On a casual funny tshirt you can say ok..it could work, but on a white shirt.” Another person joked, “Vetements is charging $1,100+ for a shirt that looks like you had a panic attack at 7 AM while ironing. Why fix your mistakes when you can wear them as a flex?”
