A shocking incident made the headlines, and the video of the same went viral on the internet, where a pregnant woman was allegedly injured as Patna Police seized her scooter over a traffic challan. The video shows a police officer pushing a scooter towards a woman who pleaded with him to stop because she was pregnant. Reportedly, the incident happened on Monday night at J P Ganga Path, popularly known as Marine Drive, when the woman and her husband were returning from a walk and riding their scooter on the wrong side of the road because the U-turn was too far away. A police officer stopped them and issued a challan. This led to an argument breaking out over the citation.

Please give behaviour training to police, as it seems a dacoit is given a police uniform and made to stand on the road.)” A third person wrote, “Shame on Bihar police.”

During the incident, the police confiscated the scooter and began taking it to the station. The woman tried to stop him and asked to accompany him, but the officer allegedly ignored her. She sustained minor injuries as the scooter was moved. The couple later reached the police station, where the husband arrived as well. The scooter was returned to them after they were reportedly promised that no further action would be taken. Authorities said the scooter had an outstanding challan exceeding ₹10,000, which the couple was instructed to settle promptly.
