Mohandas Pai, former Infosys chief financial officer, has slammed IndiGo Airlines, alleging that passengers were left without air conditioning on an aircraft while waiting on the tarmac in Bengaluru. The post on X read, “Indigo treats its passengers badly. Sitting in 6E 7407 without AC on hot tarmac in Bengaluru. No way to treat passengers. Only after protest staff used tarmac generator for AC. Pl change your protocol @IndiGo6En @RamMNK @AAI_Official.”

Nair wrote, “They are very reluctant to switch on APU (auxiliary power unit) because of cost implications without any considerations to inconvenience to passengers. Elderly and babies can be seriously affected.” Other users shared similar experiences, slamming IndiGo. One user wrote, “They only care about their profits as they know Indians don’t have many options for air travel & govt doesn’t care how airlines treat passengers as air travel is only for rich & govt exists only for poor so it’s none of their business to interfere!”
