The post, which has already garnered over 6,97,000 views has amassed numerous reactions. one social media user wrote, “That’s true Uber charges more than OLA and infact Uber has dynamic price.. That mean if u book a car at certain price.. And there is a traffic which is not your heck… You will. End up paying more at final billing… Which doesn’t happen in OLA.” Another wrote, “There has been study on this Uber and many apps charge higher on apple phones than android phones,” another user commented. “App detects iOS or Android, and then companies have different models to charge based on that!!”

Niraali Parekh, Founder-Creative Director, Bokap Designs shared a post raising the same issue last week. She said that her colleague booked the same Uber ride on two phones – Android and iPhone with the same pickup and drop-off locations and noticed a difference in the fare.
