A groom from Uttar Pradesh, dressed in a grey suit and red turban caught a ride on a passerby’s bike and then chased down a mini-truck. Reports suggest that the incident occurred on the NH 58 highway.

The video looked like a scene out of a Bollywood film, where a groom from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh turned into a hero and chased down a thief, who stole his money garland and ran away. The reports say that the incident took place on the NH 58 highway. The groom, who was dressed in a grey suit and red turban caught a ride on a passerby’s bike to chase down a mini-truck. After riding alongside it, he jumped off the bike and tried climbing on to a moving truck. The video shows the groom entering through a window and stopping the vehicle. The groom then, along with two others from the wedding party, dragged the driver out of the truck and thrashed him.

One social media user commented, “Dulhan (bride) should be proud of him.” Another wrote, “If he had stolen, you should have taken him to the police. Who gave you the right to kill? To what extent have humans fallen? You are venting all your anger and frustration on that tempo driver.” A third user wrote, “Please investigate where this person got such commando training, this is not a task a common man can do.”

As per India Today, the truck driver, Manish Sehgal stated that the groom accused his truck of brushing against him on the road. He further claimed that the groom and his party attacked him, despite the driving having no involvement with the stolen money garland.
