The two iconic Indian cricket players participated in the net session and are looking forward to the ODI matches against Sri Lanka.
After the ongoing T20I series between India and Sri Lanka, the teams will play three ODIs starting August 2. It is reported that Rohit Sharma, the ODI skipper, has already arrived in Colombo from the US for the series. Apart from the Hit Man, other key players who have only been picked for the 50-over matches, like Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, and Harshit Rana, have also reached Sri Lanka. They have also already practiced a net session.

The wait is finally over for all the fans worldwide to see the iconic Indian cricket players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli again play together after the incredible win at the T20 World Cup 2024. These players have already reached Sri Lanka and are done with their net session to face Sri Lanka for the ODI series, starting August 2.
Assistant coaches and other members join the ODI team.
As per a report on Cricbuzz, one of the assistant coaches, Abhishek Nayar, was asked to oversee the nets of the ODI-specific players in Colombo. The other members of the ODI squad who are with the T20I squad will join the ODI team after the third T20I on July 30 in Pallekele.
The ODI squad includes –
Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill (VC), Virat Kohli, KL Rahul (wk), Rishabh Pant (wk), Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Riyan Parag, Axar Patel, Khaleel Ahmed, Harshit Rana.
The ODI matches against Sri Lanka will be played at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium on August 2, 4, and 7, respectively. India has already won the T20I series, winning the first two matches, and will be looking forward to whitewashing Sri Lanka by winning the third match as well.
