Wherefore, Arijit Singh made an Exemption for Awarapan 2 on a musical break.  

Amaal Mallik spoke about how Arijit Singh became part of Awarapan 2.

The millions of fans were waiting to hear the voice of their own favourite singer, Arijit Singh. His break from music was a big shock for his fans across the world. But it was made very clear that his return was not the result of pressure from anyone.

Amaal explained that the song Yeh Awarapan was not an old track waiting to be released. For almost a year, it existed only in his own voice before Arijit heard it. Awarapan 2, starring Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi, is set to release on August 14.

While speaking with Pinkvilla, Amaal Mallik said, “I think there is no force by any chance. He has made a decision. So, when he heard the song, it was nothing like we had promised earlier, and there was no deal. Audience always thinks it must have been recorded earlier and released now.”

For a year, it was in my voice, and usually Arijit and I also play our music to each other. I send him five or six songs, and if he likes one, we work on it together. That is how we generally collaborate on film music.”

According to Amaal Mallik, Arijit Singh was not easily influenced to sing this song. He felt that Amaal had already sung it appropriately and questioned why he needed to record. The musician told him that he wanted Arijit for the song, and the singer finally agreed to record it a few months ago.

 According to Amaal, Arijit made a genuine effort for the song. Amaal Mallik believes that someone like Arijit Singh is very rare because of his exceptional talent as a singer. He also pointed out that Arijit has not completely walked away from film music.
