Yuvraj Singh’s father, Yograj Singh, claimed that Dhoni and Kapil ‘treated people like s***.”

The hookah controversy, which occurred about five years ago, involving former Indian bowling all-rounder IrfanPathan’s remark about MS Dhoni, went viral on the internet. Yuvraj Singh’s father, Yograj Singh, has now reacted to the same and remarked about MSDhoni and Kapil Dev.

Yograj Singh speaks about the viral IrfanPathan hookah controversy.

Indian cricket is abuzz with a 5-year-old video of IrfanPathan, in which he can be seen discussing his exit from the national side under MS Dhoni’s captaincy. Yograj Singh claimed that not only Pathan, but also GautamGambhir, VirenderSehwag, and Harbhajan Singh have spoken about how they were treated under Dhoni’s captaincy. Speaking with InsideSport, he said, “It is not only about IrfanPathan. You see GautamGambhir speaking about it. VirenderSehwag openly said it as well. Harbhajan Singh spoke about how he was put out of the team like a fly. You should arrange a jury on why he did what he did. MS Dhoni doesn’t want to answer. One who doesn’t want to answer has a guilty conscience.”

Yograj Singh targets MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev.

The former all-rounder went on to target MS Dhoni, Kapil Dev and Bishan Singh Bedi. He said they didn’t treat players well. Yograj Singh, even in the past, has criticised Dhoni and Kapil. He had even revealed that he once pointed a gun at Kapil’s head over his ouster from the team. He said, “I talk about Bishan Singh Bedi, Kapil Dev, MSDhoni. I can talk about people whom I have been with. They have treated people like s***. Jo galathaiwogalathai. Two wrongs cannot make one right. I say this openly that our cricketers and team were destroyed by our captain.”

The hookah controversy, five years ago, had Pathan talking about his interaction with Dhoni regarding his position and performance in the team. In the later part of the video he says, “I don’t have a habit of setting up hookah in someone’s room or talking unnecessarily. Everyone knows. Sometimes, it’s better not to speak. A cricketer’s job is to perform on the field, and that’s what I focused on.”
