Ahead of the IPL match, Virat Kohli’s warm gesture for young CSK fans has won hearts. This also shows how franchise loyalties blur for fans when it comes to their favourite players.

RCB posted a video on X in which Virat Kohli can be seen signing autographs and clicking selfies with the crowd that had gathered at the Chepauk during RCB’s practice. Most fans were seen adorning CSK jerseys, and some had the blue of India on. And yet, they all seemed visibly thrilled at the prospect of getting a moment with Kohli. He won hearts by signing an autograph for a young CSK fan.

This is Virat Kohli’s first IPL after retiring from T20Is. He made the decision after the 2024 T20 World Cup, in which he put up a Player of the Match performance. He went through a rather shocking downturn in form during India’s disastrous 2024/25 Test season. However, his ODI form remained intact as he played a key role in India winning the Champions Trophy 2025.

Virat Kohli also made a strong start to IPL 2025, leading RCB to victory in their opening match against KKR. He made an incredible 95 in the match.
