Jadeja didn’t seem happy after India’s win over Pakistan in the recent clash, saying, “I am disappointed…”

Ajay Jadeja reacted to India’s win over Pakistan at the recently concluded Champions Trophy clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Rohit Sharma’s team emerged victorious against Pakistan on Sunday, February 23, 2025. However, despite Men in Blue’s dominant 6-wicket win against Pakistan, former India’s star batter Ajay Jadeja didn’t seem happy, especially with how the much-anticipated match turned out.

Ajay Jadeja apparently didn’t feel satisfied with the overall quality of the contest despite a whole lot of buzz. Though India comfortably chased down Pakistan’s modest target of 242 runs riding on Virat Kohli’s masterful century, Jadeja felt the match lacked the anticipated competitiveness.

What did Ajay Jadeja say about India’s win against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy clash?

Speaking on ‘The DP World Dressing Room Show’ on Ten Sports, the former cricketer shared mixed feelings about the match, dubbed the “mother of all battles.” He said, “Of course, I’m very proud of my team, but I’m not a happy man today. You want to see a good game, a competitive game. Yes, we want our own countries to win, our own teams to win. But I’m probably disappointed with the game as a whole. There was no match, if I am to be honest. Except toss, what did you win? You didn’t even win hearts. Yes, you can win and lose games, but even in defeats, there comes a moment where you win hearts; Pakistan couldn’t even do that today.”

Jadeja also criticised Pakistan’s batters.

Ajay Jadeja also directed specific criticism toward Pakistan’s batters’ flop show. He drew attention toward their batters’ high percentage of dot balls and their sluggish run rate. He felt that Pakistan’s approach lacked the necessary aggression and stability while batting because of which they failed to post a competitive total on the board.

Pakistan’s semi-finals chances look slim, after facing back-to-back defeats in their first two games against New Zealand and India respectively. They will now have to win against Bangladesh on February 27. They also require that neither New Zealand nor Bangladesh achieve two or more wins in the remaining group matches.
