27-year-old IT engineer found dead in Ghaziabad.
The body of the young IT engineer was found hanging in a hotel room in the Indirapuram area, police said. Though the deceased’s family have alleged foul play in the case, police are treating it as a case of suicide and have been examining CCTV footage to identify any visitors during his stay in Ghaziabad. NimishPatil, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), revealed that the deceased is identified as RajatPratap Singh, a resident of RakshaPuram Colony in Meerut. He was working with a private company in Noida.
Police say preliminary findings indicate it was a suicide.
Police said preliminary findings from the post-mortem report suggest that RajatPratap Singh died by suicide. He had been staying in room number 203 of the hotel for the past three days. The incident came to light after hotel staff informed police that Singh didn’t respond to repeated knocks on his door. Police arrived at the scene and opened the room in the presence of witnesses. They found a few documents and empty liquor bottles in the room. However, officials said that no suicide note was found.
As per a statement from the family, Rajat was reportedly depressed over a personal issue. The investigation is ongoing.
